OMGOOODNESS!!!!!
I’m from Texas. I used to own a BBQ joint, several years back too & thought my BBQ was good. I’ve eaten BBQ from all the “Best” places throughout Texas. I have to say; this place is by far, THE BEST DAMN BBQ AROUND!!!
Hands down.
Every impressed, very inexpensive, compared to other’s, not stingy with the sides either. No disappointments here.
Take a chance. It’s more than worth it & the extra miles, if necessary to go get it.
Pepper Belly BBQ is the real deal. If in Sanger Texas, you need to try it. The three meat plate is enough for two people and for $17 you can't beat the price. Had sliced brisket, sausage and pulled pork. The pork was the best of the three meats I had. I want to try their ribs and poppers next time. Excellent.
Super delicious and juicy BBQ!!
Get the Pot Belly plate and try alittle bit of everything! Beans and Mac and Cheese are some of the best I’ve eaten!!! Well worth the drive and price!!
Don't be fooled by appearances, sometimes looks can be deceiving! We were driving though Sanger, TX and stumbled upon this gem! Pepper Belly BBQ serves up traditional BBQ prepared to perfection! Visible smoke ring on the brisket which was also tender and moist. Pulled pork did not disappoint. Mac & Cheese was extra creamy. Beans were delicious with generous bites of bacon. Topped off with Texas Toast. Owner Leonard serves up a pleasantly spicy homemade BBQ sauce with his extra spicy personality. Truly a wonderful stop that was busy with local regulars.
Really can’t say more about this place. The ribs and pulled pork were great, but the star was the chopped brisket. And the beans were terrific, too. I happily would’ve spent twice as much.
