Very helpful to the community and are great examples of what a police officer should be.

Worked a late night shift at Jack, and forgot to turn my headlights on, officer was very polite, asked me if I knew why he pulled me over, and very respectfully asked me to turn my headlights on, and to have a nice night.

I’m glad they have bigger worries then to ticket every little mishap upon any event.

While driving home to Garland, Texas from Oklahoma early Friday morning June 12, 2015 on Interstate 35 I was stopped by a patrol officer from your department. The reason for the stop was no tail lights on the vehicle I was driving. The reason for no tail lights was I did not turn them on. The vehicle in question was a temporary rental and I had very limited knowledge about it's operation. I figured if I had the headlights working surely all the other exterior lights would be on also. Not true, as your officer showed me how to turn the tail lights on. The officer was very professional and courteous and extremely helpful to me that night. Driving highway speed at night with no tail lights is a good way to create a really big problem. Thanks to your officer that problem never occurred. My thanks to your department.
