Magoffin Middle School

This school was the best middle school I’ve could have ever gone to. The teachers were really good at teaching but some were kinda of petty with some attitudes tho. I encountered so many things here at Magoffin. For instance like seeing a bunch of 12 through 14 year olds smoke weed, my 6th grade teacher throwing a chair at a student. Seeing and experiencing ghost and paranormal objects, and so much more. The food is good but i remembered the cafeteria maneger was making a fuss over some breakfast food that was missing. She even came personally to the class rooms saying. “y0U HaVE to gEt OnE oF eaCH, N0t JuST oNe iTeM”. In 6th grade they use give us bags of Hot Cheeto Puffs, and in the Snack Bar Lane they sold medium slushies for 75 cents but they stopped doing both those things, once I started the 7th grade. My best experience was of course 8th grade because they took us to Western Playland, and rented Water Slides for us. They also have ghost tours, which are actually thrilling for me because I really dig paranormal events and have a passion for ghost adventures. I also liked how in 8th grade my Math Teacher(Ms.Ochoa) made a Saturday school tutoring for extra help on the STARR test from March to April. However hardly anyone showed up so the maximum of kids going would be at least 12. It was cool tho because she brought donuts, sodas, pizza, and all that good stuff. What I also like is that she would give us a 10 minute brake and since it was just us and my teacher. Me and my friends would go roam around the school in complete darkness and scare each other. I miss this school so much because their was so much action here. If you were talking bad behind someone’s back or started beef with someone you would end up in a fight In as little in 5 seconds. This comes to show that Magoffin Kids don’t play around, and you shouldn’t mess with someone from Magoffin.
I graduated here in 2017. So y’all enroll your kids here for a true middle school experience. Once a Lobo, Always a Lobo!!!
Let’s Go Class of 2017!!!

I was sceptible about letting my son go to Magoffin Middle school. Back in the 80's all I heard was bad news about it. Gang's were born there back then. I didn't want to go there I was going to Canyon Hills. Then I moved to the East side of El Paso and ended up going to Indian Ridge Middle school. There were fights, bulling by teachers more then the students, and gang activity. So moral is; it doesn't matter were you go, it's about how you address yourself, and how you let others address you. Basically, if you show and give respect you should get it back, and if it's not given back then it should be addressed properly. My son loves going here. They let them use the new Mc Apple laptops this year for there work, and the school has had a lot of upgrades. Staff and teachers are frendly. He has only had one problem, with a subject, and homework, but all I did was talk to the Bice principal to schedule a conference with the Teacher. Everything is ok now. There's going to be issues no matter were you go. It's how you handle them that really matters. God luck, and Godbless always😇
