Freddy's Frozen Custard & Steakburgers

Now that the rush has died down, I decided to try Freddy's. I hadn't heard of it before this location opened down the street from me. We all tried the bacon double combos with fries and onion rings. The burgers were tasty; they seem to apply a seasoning before cooking them that gives a flavorful crust. My family got theirs plain while I opted for ketchup and mayo, and the staff was not stingy with the toppings. The fries are proper shoestring and seasoned as well. It's not overpowering, and the fries were crispy on the outside yet soft in the middle. I place them in between McDonald's and Wendy's for fry quality. The onion rings were a soft golden brown, not overcooked. They reminded me of carnival food. I'll likely get the fries again next time I go. We weren't brave enough to try any desserts this time, but next time we go, it could be possible. Overall, a positive experience, and a welcome change over some of the other places around here.

I had a double jalapeño burger with pepper jack cheese. It was tasty in my opinion. Even though the patties are super thin they were still juicy. The french fries were warm and crispy also very thin. They weren't over salted like you'd get from mcdonald's. The vanilla custard with chunks of oeros add finished out the meal and was smooth and creamy not to sweet. On the negative side of things. The small burger, thin fries and small cup of custard are all over priced. $17 for one meal, so got to knock a star off for that. I forgot to say their sweet tea is good 👍🏼

Came in this evening for a late dinner with my family, we ordered a few original doubles and a patty melt for dine in and the food was amazing. The burgers were cooked perfectly and you can really taste their season. I was very impressed with the food. Not to mention the staff was very friendly and helpful. We also got to meet the General manager Jesse who asked us how our visit was. This just doesn’t happen at your average fast food places. Our experience was really good and we will definitely be back again.

Soooo good! Burgers were juicy and cooked perfectly, fries were perfect. The custard (we got the Reese’s and banana one) was so yummy and not too sweet. Our child got cheese fries and they were a hit. Cheese curds were also good! Fast and friendly service as well. Definitely going to be here when we want some good burgers!
