Timber Rock House is the most inviting place I have ever been to. I literally got chills as soon as I walked in the door and I knew God was in that house. The residents are deeply loved by Debi and her husband, and all the staff. Residents are well taken care of, treated with dignity and respect no matter their condition. They are not treated as a burden no matter how advanced the condition is. They are just loved. Deeply loved. And I was drawn in as soon as I walked inside. Family atmosphere. Wonderful place all orchestrated by God.
Throughout my my married life, there were times when I didn't always make the right decisions. One very positive decision that I made during the month of December 2017, was to ask the owners of Timber Rock House to accept my wife as their very first resident. Previously, beginning in early August 2017 until late December 2017, I had placed my wife in 4 different assisted living/memory care facilities. The 4 facilities absolutely and totally failed to provide effective physical/mental care and loving that my daughter and I felt necessary to allow my wife to maintain dignity, happiness, and good heath. Only Timber Rock House met and completely exceeded our requirements and expectations. The owners and caregivers of Timber Rock House fell in love with my very physically active wife and in a very short period of time, my daughter and I could relax, knowing that our loved one was in a good place and was receiving the care she needed and deserved. Timber Rock House management and caregivers did so many things right, such as providing the proper meals and nutrition for a type 2 diabetic diagnosed with Alzheimer's. Their effective record-keeping regarding prescription meds, correct dispensing of the meds, providing a safe/comfortable place to live, plus keeping my wife mentally and physically engaged in activities that helped reduce bouts of depression and assisted with anger control. Actually, there are so many positive aspects of Timber Rock House that I could probably write a book. In short, I don't even want to think about what could have happened to my wife of 57 years if we hadn't been able to find Timber Rock House. Timber Rock House was a godsend for my family and especially my wife.
