Scarborough Renaissance Festival

I have been to Scarborough several times since I was a teen. It has never disappointed with good food and entertainment. Though it is a bit pricey, its no different than paying for another theme park of any kind. On my most recent visit I brought my 1 year old son, and he definitely enjoyed seeing the people in costumes and the colorful scenery and art. I even bought him his first sword (foam one of course). Overall a good experience and I look forward to going back every year as my grows up.

Even though it was raining, it didn't drown out my fun being my first time there. Yes, it would have been more fun if it wasn't raining, but it was Mother's Day, so I had my son and grandchildren, so it was perfect.
The characters played their parts wonderfully, even in the rain, and all the colorful costumes just had me in amazement. Loved how it was set up with all the shops and trinkets, clothes, and other goodies. The shows were fun to watch, too.
This was a wonderful treat from my son. I know I would have never been able to afford it seeing what the prices were on everything from tickets, food and all the shops. So all I did was walk around and looked. I wasn't going to let him spend those prices after the tickets but he did buy the $4 20 0z drinks for 4 and expensive food of turkey leg, 2 slices of pizza and my sausage on a stick.
The main thing is I loved my time with my boys, and it was a rainy magical day.
Definitely will be going back next year and planning to dress up this time.

8 year old had a blast and so did the parents. Go early and stay long. The bar lines are kind of long but overall great time. A lot of people dressed up and all the free shows are great. A lot of shop vendors with cool stuff. Feels like an authentic Medieval Faire.

Ww enjoyed all that there is to see. The crafts are particularly good. Mr. Peter, the glass maker, is one of our favorites. He's very educational and entertaining to watch. The food there is pricey but there is lots of variety. My kids enjoyed all the man-powered rides. The bungee was their favorite.
