  My husband and I stayed here when we went to Scarborough Faire earlier this year. It was a wonderful experience and a beautiful house. It was almost as fun as the faire and everything about it was basically perfect. The gentleman that runs the Inn was polite, kind, and knowledgeable. If I could rate it 10 stars I would for the decor alone. The only quibble I have (which does not detract from my rating) is that a train woke us up earlier than we'd like since it's right by the train tracks. Absolutely amazing.

  The English Merchant’s Inn is not just a place to stay-it’s an experience.
  
  Every where I looked was a vignette with a story to tell. It’s like walking into another place and time. The British inspiration had me feeling like I traveled across the pond.
  
  The accommodations are cozy, clean, and comfortable. Sit in your room, on the front porch or in the parlor next to the fire-I enjoyed all the spaces.
  
  Don’t hesitate to stay here. Just know you won’t want to leave.

  My husband and I simply adore English Merchants Inn. From the moment you walk in you feel as if you have stepped foot onto a movie set. Everything is so charming and quaint! From the roaring fireplace to the amazing collection of antiques this is a place to linger and relax. Howard and Mary are remarkable hosts and we love visiting a few times a year.

  What can I say? This place never disappoints. I love the charm the owners are lovely and the beds are super comfortable. Third time here and spent my 14th anniversary here. My husband loved it. Will be back. Also check out their restaurant in town had the wild mushroom pie soooo yummy!!!

  So far, so good! This place is absolutely gorgeous and cozy! I love the bathtub in my room, the bed and sofas are so comfy and there's no shortage of games and movies to enjoy in the common areas. I also highly recommend going during the holidays! The Christmas tree is up with a cozy fire and I'm in so much live and already planning planning another stay!
