  This place is ridiculously good!???? 1st you get to enjoy the wonderful smells.???? Then the tasty food comes out and everything just melts into your soul.???? Hubs ordered chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes, plantains, cornbread, & sweet potato pie! Delicious! Mine was waaaaay better!???????? I enjoyed the oxtails over rice, mac n cheese, fried okra, & cornbread. Let's just say nothing was left! Bones were cleaned! The waitress was friendly and very convincing of which items she loved ❤ also. ???? Cynthia, chef/owner, is super sweet and let us try her key lime pie too. ???? Which was even more amazing than the sweet potato pie! If you haven't tried this place, you must. You won't regret it. Thank me later.????????

  My son and I ate here yesterday. WOW!!! The food is excellent! We had a wide assortment of things that we ordered and everything was great. Definitely a hidden gem that everyone should try.

  Warmly greeted by the Chef walking in the door. She is a trained and educated culinary that has always been fascinated with comfort food. The combination fills a void in the Katy food scene. Simple fresh ingredients, no canned food and all the flavor- just like Grandma used to make! Mac & Cheese is unreal and the Gumbo is a meal in itself (you can get it as a side also). Gluten Free options include the burger, grilled fish and all the vegetables. Note- their is not yet a sign out front as of this posting- so you have to look for it!

  Small soul food spot that opened recently. Menu had about a dozen entrees on it and a short list of sides. Always a good sign, generally means they do things well.
  
  Fried Chicken? Check. Cornbread batter and crispy on the outside, juicy and delicious inside.
  
  Fried fish? Same. Awesome.
  Expect both to take a few minutes at least, as they are cooked to order.
  
  Cornbread had a bit of sweetness to offset the savory flavors on the plate. Fried Green Tomatos, Fried Okra, both outstanding. The portion on Red Beans and Rice surprised me as a side. Most places would have called it a "bowl" instead of a "side."
  
  Peach Cobbler was fantastic as well.
  
  Will definitely be back. I need to try the Gumbo and Bread Pudding next time!
