I had a good amount of work done here and had friends who didn't have anything bad to say. They are responsive, maybe a bit too busy, but they will work with you. Always nice and respectful.
My only concern is the schedule, or lack of schedule.
In the future I would ask for them to provide a schedule that they will hold themselves to (and I get that there will be additional work and/or unanticipated delays but I think those then need to be accounted for in an updated schedule).

I have owned boats in this area since the early 90s. This yard has gone through an ownership change and I will say I am impressed. Mason is the primary principle(I think) and does a great job. The one thing a boat owner needs to getting things done in the boat yard is COMMUNICATION and Mason does a great job in this regard. Service “strategies” are not always black and white. There may be different options requiring different materials and labor. And then there are the expectations of the boat owner…which are VERY important. Mason does a great job in laying out the different ways something can be fixed and goes through all of the options as it relates to cost, time, and the advantages and disadvantages of each strategy. That way the boat owner can pick his path and know what to expect of the final product….most importantly, what it will cost. Another great advantage is that the yard is a single “entity”…meaning they are the yard AND the contractor. That way if there is a delay, it does not cost you lay days nor do you pay a per day charge to be in the yard, unlike most yards around here. Overall, very pleased with the way things are handled here. Great job Mason and team!!!

I have utilized divers to clean below the waterline for over 6 years, and what an eye opening experience when I had Mason pull the yacht out of the water! Ugh! Never again. Have Southern Boatworks do your haul out and save yourself a headache.

We take our 40ft Motor Yacht there to have the bottom cleaned and zincs replaced if needed. They always do a great job and reasonably priced. I would highly recommend them instead of a diver so you can check out the bottom of your boat in person. Zincs can also be checked better out of water and only replaced if needed. They don’t charge you for things not needed.
