We had a close family member transferred from an area hospital to Baywind Village Skilled Nursing and Rehabilitation. He needed wound care, as well as Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy to rebuild his strength and stamina in order to care for himself at home. We were very worried about this because of all the negative press that usually surrounds skilled nursing and rehabilitation facilities. We could not have been more pleased with our experience.
Starting with Ashley, the Admissions Director. She handled all our calls and smoothed the complex paperwork and admissions process. She reassured us and calmed our anxiety about the transfer. She could not have been more professional.
The staff were very caring. They made our relative feel cared for and important. The skilled nursing staff was professional and knowledgeable even with complex wound care issues. The Physical Therapist and Occupational Therapists and the therapy were wonderful. He regained strength, stamina and confidence. He went from bed only to sitting, standing, and walking. He was able to negotiate hard transfers from bed to chair and back.
We cannot say enough positives about the loving care provided by the Baywind Village facility and its staff. They strive to create a professional yet caring environment that is more like home so that each patient can grow to their full potential.
The care provided by Baywind Village was superb. My Aunt Maria stayed there for 3 weeks and we were happy with their services. Rosario the house keeper spoke to my aunt in Spanish and made her feel at home. We appreciate the care and will highly recommend Baywind Village. Their location is great and close to us. Thank you!
Although, they appear to be short handed at times, this facility was always clean and satisfactory. My mother was there from 5 months and received more than adequate care for being bedridden. She was always fed and cleaned. There are social events daily to keep the patients involved.
The CNA, Lisa M., is by far the most compassionate nurse there. She goes above and beyond with the compassion and understanding she provides to the patients and their families.
I have been here for almost a month now and I found this place to be a great place for skilled nursing facility. The people here are very caring. My favorite is Monalisa who is excellent in her abilities for patient care and a very caring person. She gave special baths, provided with my favorite hot tea, and was always available to help me with a smile.
The staff was beyond friendly. Everyone that passed us in the hallway would address my mother by name. They were always happy to make sure that she was included in all of the activities or there to fulfill her requests. She thoroughly enjoyed her stay while there and made a tremendous amount of progress with her therapy. Also, I want to give a compliment to the HR and Transportation departments. I met a few ladies (I believe that one of their names was Alex) at the local taco truck and they were exceptionally nice when I gave compliments about their employer. If I could just say one big thank you to everyone that helped Lois while she was there. From the nurses, to the auxiliary staff, everyone was helpful. Again, thank you. If my mother was happy, so am I.
