South Shore Grille

We came for lunch. The food was inexpensive and delicious. The server, Aaron, was terrific. We ate fish tacos with a spicy creamy sauce and blackened chicken and shrimp Havana. Both dishes were great. One of the best lunches I have had in a long time.

Its a quaint restaurant. I was actually impressed with their food.
The waittress we got was an absolute delight, she said she has just started.
However, I did not like their old fashion

Atmosphere
Nice quiet casual dining experience with indoor and outdoor dining. Overall the restaurant was pretty clean.

Service
Our waiter was friendly but being that he was new he did not fully know the menu or have any suggestions except for the lunch menu. When we did have a question he went and found the answer so that was nice.

Food
Chicken salad sandwich
There was a good amount of filing, comes on a plain bun but overall a solid choice. Didn't take any pineapple in the chicken salad though.

Chicken and shrimp Havana
2 thin Chicken pan cooked with 3 large shrimp on top. The chicken had a bell pepper sauce which was nice, the chicken was juicy and the shrimp were grilled nicely.

Creamed spinach
Very flavorful without being too heavy or thick

Garlic green beans
These were cooked well but very plain

Key lime pie
Good lime flavor custard but the crust was a dry crumble.

Overall
Solid place with a huge menu. Prices are a bit high compared to the quality but not too crazy. They have daily lunch specials for $8.50 so we will need to try one of those next time. We would like stop in again. But not the kinda place that makes you say I have to have that again tomorrow.
