“Nice place but no direct parking. Well lit even at night. Basketball half court next to it. Easy to skate without much challenge to experienced skaters. Still a nice place to hang out and skate.”

“Very nice Natatorium, but a little small to host an event as big as the 1 i went to today, either that or the event was not well run. The grounds for the natatorium are very nice though. I am sure Texas City is proud to have this type of facility.”

“Just out looking for good bird photos and stopped at the parking lot just before the Texas City Dike and found 2 beautiful Brown Pelicans in breeding plumage as well as a bevy of both American White Pelicans and Brown Pelicans and one lone gull in the middle...Herring Gull, I believe. What a great place on a pretty day!”

“What a wonderful park! There is something for the entire family to do. From multiple playgrounds designed for fun and exercise to a water park and amphitheater. Throw in a hiking trail, some picnic tables and beautiful art work and the this park has something for everyone. If you are in the area drop by and take a look, you will be glad you did. Oh Yeah, the Bay. A beautiful view for watching birds or ships with a nice cool breeze, enjoy.”

“Everything great in a park all in one huge park. Start with kids stuff- three areas in playground with handicap able swing, age appropriate areas and lots of swing. Then a seasonal spray park just over the ridge with small slide and a few benches. Then great areas to feed ducks and turtles on the north side of park on wood bridge. Then there is the nature trail, butterfly gardens, disc golf, workout area, and big basketball courts. The historical planes as a great back drop to pictures. Soccer fields and open fields used for practice. Then on skyline the drive the lighthouse and fishing areas. They have a zagster bike area to rent bikes. Great gazebos surround the park for rent and port a potties available. Large walking trails that are well lit inside the park that are 5k long. An anthem theater that is wheel chair accessible. All of this locate at the base of the dike and in walking distance of coaches sno cones ( seasonal) and Boyd’s restaurant and bait shop.”

“The perfect place to learn kite/windsurfing. The water is knee-waist deep for hundreds of feet out. Went in early November and water was great and there were only a few dozen people. Parking is free as well.”
