Herman Baker Park is the bridge of North Texas. It introduces the landscape of North Texas in all forms. You can experience nature trails on one end, and suddenly, big hills on the other end. Needless to say, you'll encounter a big pond, big trees, wildflowers, and different species of birds all in one place - just like how North Texas does it.
Blackland prairie forest with curious trails that wind around lake. Very biodiverse; always has unique species to film.
Very pretty little park. I took some photos of a goose and ducks. Plus a couple of other shore birds. I didn't have time to take the trail around the whole lake, but I did go to the top of the dam.
Hidden gem. Rangers keep it well kept. Paths are easy to follow.Trees are unique. Water is clean. Frogs and Canadian Geese were a welcoming site. Loved the Mallards. Restroom was clean and yet efficient.
Though it was my first time visiting this park I very much enjoyed my experience there. Benches are scattered around the trail, so taking a break is really easy. I also noticed a lot of flowers along the way, very beautiful. They smell nice as well. As you can tell from my pictures there a plenty of places to take pictures of the scenery or with your companions.I would highly recommend this park for a quick walk or a workout.
