  My favorite place in Richards the most friendliest people work there and the owner is the sweetest kind hearted person I know. in my opinion Haynies is the best thing that has happened to Richards in a long time.

  Good down home cooking. Specials daily for 8.99. Other items on menu are also good, burgers +fries, etc. Staff extremely nice.

  Great food, good price and friendly staff. I had the fish/shrimp combo with 2 sides. Will be back.

  My wife and I were enjoying a day of motorcycle riding when we came to Richards Texas and saw a marquee about fish and shrimp. We were hungry and had to stop and try Haynie's General Store and Restaurant. We were politely greeted and seated. It's a cafe/restaurant in one area with a general store on the other side.
  
  The restaurant is nicely decorated and soon our order was brought to us. I LOVED my fried fish and shrimp! That alone was worth the trip from Spring Texas! Our glasses were kept refreshed and we very much enjoyed our meal. We even took home a to-go box.
  
  If you are interested in fine food and nice folks serving you in a country setting... Haynie's General Store and Restaurant is the place!
