“The Deer Park Physical Education Building, c. 1968 I grew up going to this high school and graduated in May 1968. Too, I have so many fond memories of the time spent inside of this building as a student during the years 1964 through 1968. Besides the Annex building were I had all of my Reading, Writing and Rithmetic classes, I had the last class, (6th period) assigned to the Phys Ed building. I was assigned 6th period phys-ed because I participated in sports, both football and track.”

“The Deer Park Phys-Ed Sports Locker-Dressing Rooms. c. 1968 20181105 - On revisiting these old buildings, I find that these building are all but forgotten, especially the glory from the early days that I personally enjoyed here participating in four years of high school football and track. I particularly remember at each Friday night football game, how my Dad was always there to watch the game. Also, he would wait outside the locker rooms to take me and some of my fellow teammates home after the games. Those days with my teammates and my Dad were the days I remember with so much joy.”

“The facilities are clean for a sticky ice cream shop. Surprisingly the table was not sticky. Thank you for that! The server was very patient with my 3 kiddos and offered to let them sample the ice cream before they chose one. Of course, they chose the ones they picked, but they were excited to be able to make sure that is what they wanted. Only concern was that they ran out of the cups with the waffle cones in them. My smallest one got upset because he couldn't get one, but he finished off mine and was happy with that. Overall, good visit and I give them a 5 because the service was excellent.”
