Backup Electric

After seeing Backup Electric mentioned in NextDoor, I called to take care of a few projects from my home inspection and items I noticed after moving into my home.

On the phone they answered all of my questions and quoted a reasonable price plus were able to set an appointment for the following week. (I called on Friday and they came on Monday.)

Jose A and Angel P came today and were ready to solve my issues. This is a small detail, but I was thrilled that they first turned off the power at my meter before touching my electrical panel. This doesn't always happen and when it does, it shows good attention to safety.

Angel and Jose replaced a breaker for my AC and figured out why my garage outlets were not working. The included picture explains the garage plugs and also shows that no one should ignore when a GFCI stops working. With a new one installed everything works perfectly.

They also asked if there was anything else I needed and I asked them to check my shower can light since it was not very bright. I then had them replace the fixture with a bright (damp space approved) LED. (This did require a quick trip to the hardware store, but they were back promptly to finish the job.)

Since I added the shower light fixture, the price did go up a bit (reasonably) from the original quote. I'm very satisfied with the team at Backup Electric and I plan to call them for future electrical needs.

Backup Electric done a fantastic job installing our generator interlock switch. Quality install, quick and explained how to use the system. I was considering running extra conduit which would cost considerably more. Even though it would generate more money for Back Up Electric, they recommended that it was not needed. So in closing, they are a very honest company that you can trust! I highly recommend them!!! Javier was my installer!

I've been searching for an emergency backup power and luckily found this company. The service was great and the Technician was very helpful. Thank you again Javier ! I will keep you all posted.

Contacted them through a Facebook ad and sent them a picture of my beaker box to get a quote to install a interlock and plug for a backup generator. I received the quote promptly and it was a couple of hundred less then other quotes I received. I agreed on price and scheduled an appointment for install. They arrived early and did a quality install in about an hour. Very happy with the entire experience and would recommend.

Arturo came out and right off the start he was very professional and happy to help. I had multiple services done from repair loss of power to master bedroom , installation of interlock switch set up , and surge protector to breaker panel.
