Saigon Pho

Currently on my quest to explore Banh Mi places in Houston. What a gem of a place! One of the few places that have the buy 5 get 1 free Banh Mi special AND a daily Banh Mi Special as of December 2020. Both specials can't be combined, unfortunately or maybe fortunately for the sake of your waistline. There's something about the way they toasted their bread; we brought it home 20 minutes later and it wasn't warm, but still crispy outside/soft inside and not at all hard where it destroys the roof of your mouth. It blew my mind; I have no idea banh mi bread can be done like this. We had the shredded chicken, BBQ beef, and combo all with extra mayo/aioli. Even though the aioli cost an extra $.50, they really slathered it on; you really get your extra aioli's worth. I'll probably ask for it extra on the side next time. The lemongrass beef was very good with the lemongrass not overbearing. Meat was not fatty and very tender. The shredded chicken was very moist and didn't taste like dry leftovers. It melted with the aioli and dare I say, became like a Vietnamese chicken salad banh mi. The cold cuts were good and made it really stand out with the bread. Veggies were a little sparse, but I'll ask for extra next time. I'm definitely coming back and trying some other banh mi's.

Nice coffee shop, suitable for meeting friends , business partners . Food & drinks are a bit simple but delicious.

Really cozy, nice place. Good food with reasinable price.
