Outstanding Surgeon and behind every great surgeon stands an excellent staff everyone here is great at what they do they are professional, knowledgeable, courteous, and understanding, of the Pain and Anguish that i was going through the whole staff made sure i knew Exactly What was going on i think that Dr. Small is very lucky to have such a wonderful staff as this one he could not have gotten a better team of people. I’m 65 and suffer from degenerative disc disease. After intolerable pain going down the backs of both legs nearly crippled me, Dr Small fixed me. In surgery 2 hrs, in hospital 3 days, back to work part time in 4 weeks! He and his staff are amazing.

Dr Small is the finest orthopedic I’ve ever known in my 77 years on Gods earth. He has done great with my problems. I’ve had hip replacements on both hips and then when I displaced my right onev( which another doctor had replaced in 1994 before I met doctor Small) he repaired it did a second right hip replacement and had put on my feet again.
He’s also corrected a shoulder problem I had. He has performed shoulder surgery on my husband and replaced our oldest daughters hips as much as he has mine. She inherited my terrible joints.
He also perform corrective neck vertebrae surgery on our second daughter. And I could go on. With many members of our family. Brother in law, niece and cousin etc. all have been successful. We’ve never had a problem in all the 20+ years we’ve known him. Wherever his office is we will continue to go to him. We recommend him to everyone. We truly believe he is the best. And he takes time to know his patients and discover any problem. I just saw him today for 6 month check up.

Dr. Small is a true advocate for the patient! While he has many positive attributes, the most outstanding is his genuine care for his patient. He is not only kind and caring, but also extremely knowledgeable in his field, staying up to date with new advancements and procedures. He looks into many care options advocating for what he believes to be best for the patient and does not rush into surgery. Dr. Small has a great bedside manner and listens to the patient’s and family’s concerns, he monitors your recovery, and extends himself beyond hospital walls. When you are a patient of his, you are family. I feel like I have won the lottery being in Dr. Small’s care.

Dr. Small has quite literally saved my life on more than 1 occasion. He was also the first doctor in 4years to take the time to ask exactly when my pain started and to tell the whole story, which resulted in me finally getting a diagnosis and a plan of action. When Bedside manor and patient advocacy is taught in med school they really should have him wright the text book and teach the corse. He is so patient and compassionate with everyone and will go above and beyond what most doctors do in order to keep you as comfortable as possible before, during and after surgery, as well as on a day by day basis. You absolutely can not go wrong with him as a doctor or surgeon. He is a equally gifted as a doctor and a surgeon. I find myself always comparing other doctor's patients, compassion and care to his.
