(November 16, 2018, 3:12 pm)Absolutely amazing! This library/Museum holds an actual original (not replica) Dead Sea Scroll fragment from the book of Amos. Plus they have 1 of 4 original (again Not replica) Dead Sea Scroll Jars.
(July 26, 2018, 2:09 pm)Great place to go to see Christian Historical artifacts. Great place to see what the church in 500 AD looked like with paintings that are breathtaking! Going back! It will be one of my favorite spots to go to for peace & study of God’s Holy Word. You don’t have to have no titles! It’s free too!
(June 30, 2017, 3:20 pm)I've never seen anything like this place. I worked at a seminary for a number of years, and am currently researching for my PhD. I've spent a lot of time in theological libraries, and this is one of the best I've seen, especially not to be part of an academic institution.
The library is free to use and enjoy. The books can't leave, but the place is so beautiful you will want to use them here anyway. It's the best atmosphere for serious study anywhere in the Houston area, as far as I'm concerned.
The collection is exclusively theological though, so this is not the place to come if you're looking for any other kind of study.
(January 5, 2017, 8:10 pm)The library contains thousands of books including the donated personal libraries of several scholars. The quiet atmosphere is perfect for study and the grounds are beautiful to stroll around in. Most remarkable of all (to me) are the lectures by some of the world's greatest biblical scholars --- completely free of charge! It's really a fantastic place!
