Houston's 1st dog park.
No separate area for small dogs.
Beware children treating as petting zoo on weekends. City ordinance: 13-18 yrs old must be accompanied by parent.
LOVED IT! I got 3 dogs and they enjoyed it to. Not overcrowded there is a track and place for doggy poo. Conveniently close to the freeway and parking is free.
nice little park! there’s only street parking, which is the only thing that brings down the stars. but otherwise it was a wonderful dog park- the fences were nice and high, with two gates to prevent runaways. it was basically a large dirt patch with lots of space for dogs to run, with some seating and a water fountain both for people and dog use. there’s a playground for children right next to the dog park itself, which is great if you’re looking to bring a family! no divided areas for big and small dogs, but people were very attentive to their pets, so I wouldn’t be too concerned as long as your dog plays well with others! puppy had lots of fun- definitely worth it, especially with how convenient the location is to the rest of the Museum District!
My son love the splash pad at this park! It's a little old and run down, but it's perfect for smaller kids/toddlers since many of the water features are right on the ground.
I don't think there are any facilities at this park (such as a washroom). It has limited shade and limited seating. Bring a folding chair, sunscreen and a hat and have fun!
