Ume

Went to Ume for the first time for date night.
The food was absolutely delicious and reasonably priced.
The cocktails were also very well made and well balanced.
Anthony was our server and took great care of us.
Will definitely be coming back.

Upscale cozy sushi. Well executed traditional and modern rolls as well as nigiri / sashimi as expected. Waitstaff was very attentive. The food was delicious and reasonably priced. Small dining are with a clam vibe. Most tables have a partial view of the sushi bar where you can kinda watch them prepare the nigiri and rolls. The waiting area / bar is a bit more lively but that might be because we came on a busy night.

Difficult to park. There's a free surface lot but it's constantly full. Ume has their own valet.

We enjoyed the fresh salmon the most. We feel the quality of what we were served is better then the majority of all the sushi restaurants in H-town. Service was wonderful.

Place looks nice, plain decor.

Sushi is excellent, drinks are great. Bartender recommend the Japanese whiskey. It was super delicious.

Sushi rolls were great. Lobster also was amazing.

My Go-To Sushi Spot

The staff is knowledgeable about the menu and always willing to make recommendations. They create a welcoming atmosphere that adds to the overall dining experience.

The prices at UME are also reasonable, considering the quality of the sushi.
