“This is the fourth location I have been to in Htown. This one is located in the Heights and certainly did not disappoint. They have an excellent assortment of cookies and they are baked fresh daily. I love the oatmeal raisin, the chocolate chip, the snickerdoodle, and everything else! The service is always friendly and this location is no exception. I have never had a bad experience or had anyone not love them when I bring them.”

“Anytime Fitness is a great 24 hour neighborhood gym in the Heights. They have up to date equipment, their cleaner keeps the equipment, two private showers and restrooms spotless and the entire staff is very professional and beyond friendly. No one is ever too busy to answer a question about your personal fitness goals or show you how to correctly use unfamiliar equipment. Friendly, regular folks of all ages attend. I always feel very comfortable working out there as the staff is extremely safety conscious. During non-staffed hours the gym is secure from entry by non members. Personal safety devices are on hand and ready for use should the need arise. I've been a member for several years with nothing but positive experiences. I really look forward to my regular visits and enjoy passing the time with the personable front counter staff on the way in and out. I feel I pay a very reasonable monthly rate for outstanding service. Give them a try and you'll love it.”

“I’ve taken my son to get his hair cut at Sharkey’s twice now. Both have been great experiences. The staff are quickly able to adjust to my son’s mood and temperament to get him to a place where he will be still/cooperative enough to get the best cut possible. You definitely pay more than other places. I highly recommend making an appointment over walking in. On weekends, it can be very busy and noisy. Between the movies and tv shows playing, video games, bright colors, toys, and kids running around, the energy can be overwhelming.”

“I liked it! I would usually go to Sport Clips for my haircuts, but I decided to go somewhere more local, and I'm pretty glad to say I wasn't dissapointed. The lady was very friendly and she got straight to the point. When she was finished, my hair had looked better than how it had ever turned out at Sport Clips, and for a cheaper price. I'll be going here now”

“Martha is an excellent teacher and made us feel comfortable with our wedding day dance. She is flexible with her schedule and very reasonably priced. She listened to what we wanted and taught us exactly what we needed without pushing us to learn dances we weren't interested in like other studios did. We left feeling more than confident and would highly recommend her to anyone wanting to learn to dance!”

“It's exciting to see that Houston is finally following the trend of having animal cafe's. This cozy place is perfect for any feline lover, as the prices are somewhat reasonable at $10/hr for an adult. The cafe is somewhat small, but feels quaint and cozy. Due to its size, reserving ahead of time is most recommended. As for the cats, I highly recommend going on the weekday, if possible. On the weekends, they've received more than their fair share of attention, so petting them and playing with them can be somewhat of a struggle against their lazy nature. Furthermore, I'd really wish the $10 entrance fee included a few cat treats to entice our feline friends, as this is what many cat cafes abroad do. However, for a first iteration, I'm happy to see that the El Gato coffeehouse offers a wide range of activities including book clubs, yoga, and movie nights with the cats. I hope this will encourage other animal cafes to pop up eventually. P.S. The coffee was actually pretty decent!”
