Temple Sinai has opened their hearts and temple to Emmanuel Episcopal church for worshipping and fellowship.. Our church was destroyed after Harvey. I attend two different religious classes that the temple offers. They are very informative.
this is one of the only pokestops in my neighbourhood. whenever i come by, i like what i see.
This is the greatest synagogue in all the heavens and the Earth. Rabbi Annie is a wonderful Rabbi. I can’t express how much she truly is. Chava, Ms Diane, and all the other teachers are very nice also. They always take the chance to include all people no matter who they are, Jew, or not Jew. And that is why this synagogue is very enjoyable to be apart of. This is truly the best synagogue to go to in Houston. I just love to be here.
At Temple Sinai, the expression "The Warm and Friendly Congregation" is something that is felt the moment a person walks into the building. There is a feeling of inclusion and acceptance that permeates the entire congregation. All are welcome - young and old, Jews and Gentiles, firm believers and those not sure of what they believe. Rabbi Annie sets a tone within the congregation that actually makes it fun to attend services. She is genuine in her faith, and infectious in her love for everyone she encounters. It is amazing that each Torah portion, and each holiday, is her favorite; however, after a while, you begin to understand how that is possible. I have belonged to Temple Sinai for 16 years now, and honestly doubt that I would be as happy or as content anywhere else.
I have been a member of Temple Sinai for approximately seven years. As a mid-sized congregation, it is large enough to offer all the things people look for in a synagogue - yet small enough where you never feel like you are just another face in the crowd. Equally important is the fact that Temple Sinai is not a congregation where the members are just going through the motions. Services are well attended and people truly enjoy themselves. It is also a place where interfaith couples are welcome and non-Jewish spouses are treated like everyone else. Rabbi Annie Belford is absolutely amazing. You can feel her emotional attachment and true love for Judaism in everything she does.
