“Yes, some times you have to wait for him. But, it is worth the wait. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Samuel. He has saved my mother's life because he was so good to watch her test results so carefully. She is 95 and would not be here without Samuel's interventions. He takes time because he writes down thorough notes. Then the next time you see him, he refers back to previous issues you might have forgotten about. He also takes time to build a relationship with his patients and family members who are with them. He explains in layman's terms what the medical problem is and all of the possibilities for recovery. He has advice on nutrition and on every day handling of stress. When my mother tells him, "No, I'm not going to------" (Ex. use a walker), he doesn't get upset, just gently explains how important it is for her safety, etc. Many people complain about doctors not having bedside manners. He has both the wisdom and the people skills to make sure you get the best care.”

“Dr. Bhat is a Wonderful Pulmonologist! He is thorough and never rushes you out of his office. He always takes time to answer any and all questions you may have - And I appreciate that he 'explains' things so that you fully understand. I have been a Patient of Dr. Bhat's for over 2 years now and I highly recommend him. He is personable, friendly and knowledgeable and his staff is delightful. I did have an issue with one of the Nurses being rude last year but she was much more personable on my most recent visit. I always enjoy going to Dr. Bhat's office. ”

“Been going to Dr K for years and have always found him to be very personable and have also always enjoyed talking to Lucinda at the front desk. I am quite confused by the negative reviews as I have never experienced any issues with the staff and I have lived in both Dallas and Austin for over 5 years and still continue to make the drive 2 times a year to Dr K’s and don’t plan to switch anytime soon, to me the staff make it hard to ever change Drs. “I visited Dr. Alim for a second opinion. I was having shortness of breath and chest discomfort. He reviewed my chest scan and records and questioned why my previous doctor had not requested blood work. He ordered the labs and personally called me the next day with results. He instructed me to immediately go to the hospital and contacted the ER and hematologist personally. He had everything set up for me and I was admitted immediately. I cannot thank him enough for taking such great care of me and the speed in which he was able to get my medical emergency taken care of.”

“Before my mother was transferred here from KW Medical Center, I read the reviews on this site. I was filled with anxiety and fear about her going there, but we had no other choice, since there were only a select group of places her insurance would pay for, and this place was the best of all the places and closest to home. Before she came here, my husband and I went for a tour one evening. The nurse who showed us around was patient with all our questions, listened to us intently, and made us feel like she was in no hurry for us to leave. From that, I felt more at ease, we both did. Then, when my mom was there, all of my anxieties and fears were laid to rest. The nurses were kind and attentive, she was well cared for and told me so all the time, and I saw the evidence of it. She really enjoyed the food there and ate well. There were times when she would get her food that it was cold, which is why I gave them 4 stars instead of 5. But, when we would go there, I saw nurses rubbing patients backs and talking to them, and once saw a nurse lean down and give a man a kiss on the cheek. True, this place is not the Cadillac of all nursing homes, but it is clean and the people who work there genuinely seemed like they were caring and professional. My mother was there for rehabilitation from a pelvic fracture. She stayed 3 weeks. She received physical therapy almost daily, with the exception of a couple of days. When she pressed the nurse call button, the nurses were there within minutes. When she first arrived, she was in a room alone in one of the beds. We realized after a few days the bed was not working properly, so they moved her to the other bed and fixed the broken one. I truly tried to find things wrong with this place, my radar was up, but I just couldn’t. The cold food a few times is all I could come up with. I hope my review will put people’s minds at ease who are faced with taking a loved one here. It really is a good facility.”
