Miyabi 雅味居

This is an authentic Shanxi(Northern state in China)restaurant. We love their steam cold noodle (凉皮) and beef burger(肉夹馍, best in Houston). However，after reviewing all the one star reviews, I feel Americans don't like it. It is difficult to survive, if only serve food for Chinese in US. You need to make compromise and make Americans like the food.

Food is mediocre at best. The liangpi had no flavor until we added many different condiments. The side salad was good but the tofu skin tasted slightly off. We also got a beef rice noodle soup which tasted strange. Staff are also quite unwelcoming. The setup of the restaurant is nice though.

There is no doubt this is the best Noodle House in Katy! All kinds of noodles are hand made. I tried the Biangbiang Noodle which is highly recommended by the owner, it did surprise me. It is a little bit spicy and sour but tastes really good! My friend tried the beancurd jelly and Spicy Beef Noodle Soup, he told me that the noodle soup is the best noodle soup he has ever had! We are expecting they can provide more kinds of traditional Asian food in the future. We will definitely come every week to enjoy the food here!

Awesome noodle house. Great service and food is authentic (as best I can tell being a white dude) and delicious (I'm a foodie, so you can trust that). Great clean and cozy atmosphere in the restuarant. Definitely becoming a regular.
