Kokai Sushi and Lounge

I was looking to try something new as I am new to the Katy area. After seeing all the great reviews I had to check it out for myself and I was not let down! The restaurant itself has a great atmosphere and feels very intimate. The moment I walked in the door every person I spoke with was friendly and the service was phenomenal. I didn’t catch my server’s name but I think on the receipt it said Mabe. She was very sweet and attentive. I ordered the shumai and 2 sushi rolls. I was not expecting the rolls to be so large! They were delicious and I was stuffed! This is a bit of a higher price point but it was worth every penny! I will be back!

Some of the best sushi in Town! The staff is friendly and very attentive to the customer! This is a must have in Houston if you like sushi.

We got there a little late. Just before 9 pm, I think. They normally close at 10pm on Wednesday. We were still able to eat, without being rushed. I also noticed a birthday party going on in the Hibachi area. All in all, it was a great experience and I will be going back. Oh, they charge an extra 4% for card transactions so we opted to pay with cash

Kokai is my favorite place to eat sushi in Katy, I love the peaceful atmosphere you feel when you walk in, the service is always very friendly and the food is fantastic. Today our waiter Edwin gave us an amazing recommendation, I tried the "Primavera" for the first time and it had a lovely presentation and excellent taste, definitely one of my favorites now. 10/10!
