“It is a good park. I only used the playground. However, if your kid is a smaller kid like 2 years old, some steps are too high to get on, and the slide is too steep. Also, beware of the mosquitoes. The trees are gorgeous, but the mosquitos and ants are biting horribly.”

“We had so much fun playing in the splashpad and running around the playground! When you have a little and short on cash, a park with a splashpad when it's hot outside is a GODSEND. The only downside is that there are no bathrooms.”

“06-29-2022 Visit: Today was our first visit to Northwest Park. The playground is VERY nice and fully handicap accessible! The area is partially shaded by trees. There is a well layed out pool with water slide/ and handicap chair lift, basketball court, walking trail, soccer field, bleachers on what looked to be a baseball area, restrooms by the pool, and benches and picnic tables throughout.”

“I visit the Genoa Friendship Gardens nearly every month to see the trial gardens they run in support of Texas A&M. It's fun to see what they're planting and when. And back in June, they had a corpse flower blooming - very rare! This is a great place to learn about gardening.”

“The pool is clean, the water is not warm during the winter. There is an outdoor space where you can wait while the kids are in their swim classes 😄 There is no family restroom, this was a problem for us, my son could not come to the ladies bathroom with me and my daughter because he is not under 5 years old but I don’t like sending him to men’s bathroom alone.”

“Such a lovely place for all ages honestly. No matter the weather there’s always something to do. Whether you’re feeling productive or chill, the area is perfect for sitting and just enjoying a meal. You can watch as the world continues to move while you’re taking a couple minutes to rest. You gather your energy while around you, a dog runs after a squirrel while still attached to their leash, or the girl who is on a picnic is taking pictures, or hearing the rings of the bicycles that you can rent a few blocks away. So much is going on and it’s so liberating knowing other people are out there doing their own thing and living their own life. It could be a perfect day”

Address: 3535 War Memorial St, Houston, TX 77084, USA
“Beautiful park to enjoy the outdoors, walk, gather with family and friends. It has many areas. It’s really big and that’s great! Only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the signage to find the pavilions is not good. They need better signs to direct the cars to the pavilions otherwise one will be driving in circles. It was difficult to find pavilion #6 not coming from Clay road but the opposite entrance where the war outside museum is located. But wonderful park otherwise.”
