Oak Shed Studios

I’ve been studying at Oak Shed Studios for three years now. I started with no real skill at all and through the amazing tutelage provided there, I have grown leaps and bounds. My Wednesday lesson is almost always the favorite part of my week, as the studio is filled with such passion as well as a heavy dose of good times. I’ve never enjoyed learning anything this much and I’m constantly being pushed; just enough, to ensure I don’t get complacent. I came in barely knowing what a D chord was, but went on to hold my own at blues jams. I just can’t say enough about this place. If you have any desire to learn guitar, or grow as a musician, this place is for you!

I've been going to Oak Shed Studios once a week for almost a year now. I was brand new to guitar, never even touched one before. Jon was so patient with me and continues to be patient with me even a year later. I highly recommend Oak Shed Studios to anyone who's interested in learning how to play. Jon is a great teacher with tons of knowledge and experience!

Jon Simpson is a truly fantastic guitar teacher. I am a beginner and have been taking lessons from Jon for about six months now and I love it! He is very nice and really just an amazing teacher. It's so nice to find someone who is not only very talented and kind, but is also so good at instructing others. I am learning a ton and having fun doing it! He does online lessons and some in-person COVID safe lesson in a beautiful location.

Jon is a great player but most importantly he is an excellent teacher. My two sons have grown leaps and bounds as guitar players since Jon has been their teacher. Very well rounded stylistically, and very knowledgable theoretically so the kids get exactly what they need to improve. Also, he is Covid safe and my family appreciates that!

Jon is a fantastic guitar instructor! He is very skilled in all music genres. Jon caters his lessons to the personal taste of all ages of people, as well as music!! Our daughter has been taking lessons with Jon for several years now and has advanced far beyond anything we ever really expected. And he is right here in Dripping Springs in a very accessible location. Jon is also very flexible with schedules and his lessons are affordable. I highly recommend!
