I've been attending voice lessons with Virginia for over a year now. I had wanted to improve the quality and consistency of my vocals for a while now and finally I took the plunge when I received an Austin True Voice gift certificate for Christmas. It has been the most worthwhile thing I have done in a while. Virginia is a true gem. From the moment I enter the studio (or these days Zoom), I feel completely at ease and free to explore my vocal talents in a nurturing and encouraging environment. I learn so much more than vocal training; I've also learned a ton about music theory and developing an ear for notes and pitch. Virginia also hosts monthly sing clubs and live performances which are completely optional but has afforded me an opportunity to sing with a live band and fulfill that experience. I cannot recommend Virginia highly enough!
I've been taking lessons from Virginia for 6 months and what a difference! Her unique methodology has really helped to develop my voice, tone quality and resonance. The exercises she's given me have strengthened my bridge and chest voice and made it so much easier to sing with comfort and ease. And, she's a wonderful, caring person to boot!
I've been going for singing classes with Virginia for a year now. She is very personable and focuses on your specific needs rather than making a cookie-cutter plan for all her students. She also provides lots of opportunities to sing in public which I think is invaluable. Normally, we would have in person classes but she also has the option for online lessons and she is pretty well-versed in technology that helps improve that experience. I would recommend her to anyone who wants to perfect their singing voice and eventually start performing!
Virginia is a gem of a vocal coach and human being. I was initially hesitant to invest in formal voice lessons, but from the very moment I spoke with Virginia on the phone about lessons, all of my anxiety melted away. The best part about Virginia's approach is how she meets each student where they are at, and helps them reach their fullest potential as a vocalist and performer. Whether you have prior experience or it is your first time singing, Virginia molds her technique and coaching to hone your voice and uncover your inner talent. Yes, she teaches you how to sing. But more importantly, she listens and determines how to bring out the best in you. I've always loved singing, but never had any confidence in my own abilities. Virginia steadily built a confidence in me that I didn't think was possible, and helped me ease into the idea of performing in front of an audience through her Sing Clubs and band shows. She was the perfect blend of patient and challenging, pushing me out of my comfort zone to experience the beauty of singing in front of an audience. Everyone is incredibly supportive in the Sing Club, and these valuable sessions have made me proud and inspired to continue putting myself out there as a vocalist and to incorporate more music into my life. I felt a strong sense of community and love from the other students, even from our first session. If you're on the fence about taking voice lessons, I highly encourage you to work with Virginia. She'll make it well worth your while and open your heart and mind to the power that singing can have on your well-being.
She is an amazing vocal coach. Her lessons were super intuitive and easy to understand. 10 out of 10 will recommend all my friends to her.
