Justin Sherwood of DT Roofing & Construction was the project manager for our recent home renovations that included repainting the trim and siding of the wood of our home, re-staining and re-varnishing the front door, power washing the vinyl siding of our workshop shed, installation of a new roof, gutters and down spouts. Justin and the crews engaged for this work helped us to transform our nice looking house into a beautiful one. Justin's input was indispensable to us as we were choosing paint and shingle colors, encouraging us to work with the shades of color in the repurposed Chicago brick of our home and to match the white of the workshop shed's vinyl, and to not be afraid to make a bold statement in going black and white. As a result, all buildings on our property are in harmony with each other. The move from a grey off white of the garage door to the charcoal black of the shutters was a bold move for us but the result is stunning as you can see in the picture provided. I recently began the process of choosing a roofing contractor to replace our home’s roof and came across DT Roofing. My initial contact was with Randy Hurtado who introduced me to the DT way of doing business. Randy expressed their goal was to provide a 5 star service from beginning to end and maintain their claim as Insurance Experts. Im here to say Randy and his team of contractors did just as he said they would.

The process of working with your insurance company to replace a roof can be at times cumbersome and convoluted. Randy and his team was able to make this process as easy as possible by predicting the insurance company’s responses to specific issues related to the roof and resolve these issues as they came up. For example it was my understanding insurances in most cases will not cover the replacement of gutters. Randy was able to work with the our insurance company and prove why there was a need to replace the gutters. In the end the gutters are one of the many things that I feel make the DT service standout among other companies.
In my opinion a five star company needs to have excellent communication with their customers, deliver on their promises and be fair with their day to day operations. Randy and the DT team have delivered on these points by maintaining a high level of communication and addressing all my concerns throughout the construction process. The end result delivered a product that my wife and I are proud to display to our friends and family.

I simply cannot say enough good about DT Roofing. My initial contact was with Randy Hurtado, who provided a well thought out, full bid proposal on a stone coated steel TEK roof, new skylights and new screened gutters. During this process, DT very clearly differentiated themselves from other bidders by their attention to detail and Randy's desire to go the extra mile on my job. He agreed to relocate (with a licensed plumber) vent stacks away from the front of the house and provide excellent "old world " quality, custom hand made chimney caps to really set the roof off. All vents, chimney caps, fan covers, dryer vents, etc. were all coated with the matching stone, paint and epoxy sealer to perfectly match and blend into the roof. Randy was VERY particular about maximizing the aesthetics of our home, as opposed to a roofer just looking for another job. No detail was overlooked in the process.

The tear off team was in and out in one day, all debris and nails were cleaned up thoroughly, as were they throughout the remainder of the job.

The install team was fabulous and equally as professional as Randy. Our team was led by Jose with Jeremy as his second in command. Their work ethic and easy going nature was as outstanding, as was their attention to detail. They were all outstanding individuals. They kept the yard as clean as was possible throughout the job. They arrived each morning at 7am and worked tirelessly until around 8pm each evening. Our roof was 100 "squares", a large roof, but they did not cut corners or try to rush the job. Their interface with us, the homeowner, was stellar, resulting in a very effective project execution and superb final product.

Gutters and screens were installed by Storm Tech gutters of Granbury, on behalf of DT Roofing. Justin and his crew were very thorough in redesigning our gutter system for maximum effectiveness and aesthetics. He paid particular attention to downspout location and the best possible two tone color scheme to match both the roof and house trim. As a result, the gutters blend right in to the roof, and the downspouts blend into the house. The visual appearance of the gutter system is very subtle and not overpowering, yet the functionality is vastly improved from what we had previously, thanks to Justin's attention to detail.

The TEK Hurricane Shake product is in my strong opinion, after two years of research and contemplation, and with zero help from $tate Farm who had gladly taken our premiums for decades, simply the best roofing product out there. Not only is it Class 4 hail and wind resistant, it provides an "R5" level of insulation, resulting in about 15 degrees cooler temps in my attic. The HVAC system and our bank account will both appreciate that in today's inflation driven world with regard to electric prices and HVAC repairs. By having a Class 4 roof, we will qualify for a 25%+ discount on our homeowners insurance.

It is also noteworthy that while DT was not the lowest bidder, the added items they addressed, beyond the scope of the other bids, represented very clear "value added" as we considered contractor selection. Finally, having a local, well respected "Granbury" roofing contractor represented a very positive benefit to us. DT Roofing represented the best value and quality we could get with our job!

It is obvious everyone involved in our project, from start to finish, treated the job as if it were their own personal home. DT as a company, every single worker and the final outcome of our job far exceeded my expectations. They did what they said they would do, in a timely fashion, every single time.
