Me and my friend Walter was greeted with a smile, a wave , or hand shake from the parking lot to the sanctuary. Everyone was polite and introduced their selves. Worship was amazing!! I felt the presence of God in that place. I felt love!!! This is a church I want to give to and help. They are doing the Lord’s work at this church!!! Thank you for such a wonderful blessed time in the Lord!!! Thank you to the pastor, his wife, and each everyone of the members there. No division showed just pure love🙌🏽🙏🏽
This Church has changed my life:) The presence of God is very tangible in this house. The most beautiful worship led, anointing, flowing in the gifts of the spirit, blessed and loving members, the Church hosts the Lord well!!! I went to the women’s Voice Upon the Waters conference and had more miracles happen in two days than my entire life and I knew I was finally HOME!!!
Great Church, love how there is no sugarcoating, & I always walk out feeling like I learned something, rather than just hearing that Jesus is Love. ( yes I know he is, but we need the nitty gritty sometimes). Love the ways they help people not just around the world, but locally as well, with food, homeless outreaches, and rescuing children! Great worship services, and you feel welcome before you even get all the way in the door.
Most churches have greeters but the way people at this church welcomed me in was truly sincere and a co pastor named Doug Riggs took the time to ask me where I was from and how I had found out about it. No other churches I have been too (more than I can remember) has ever done it like these guys do.
Praise and worship was the best I have ever experienced EVER and I have experienced many. The pastor Troy Brewer is in a league of his own. He is very unusual, peculiar for sure and I mean that in a good way and definately driven by the Holy Spirit. He isn't acting or performing like I have seen some of the big church pastors do. He is based and isnt afraid of saying the truth directly where as most preachers try not to stir the pot, afraid of losing donations.
His mind is on Christ and the word and its clear. Not just a verse taken out of context. He addresses the insanity in the world that the majority of pastors avoid. He is not afraid of hurting feelings. He isn't about being nice. He's about being kind. Theres a difference. He sometimes blurts out funny remarks and his wife jokes with him alot. She is so cool and its so obvious they are in love. He can go down a rabbit trail from time to time to which makes his sermons unique for each service.
He's a goofball hillbilly (his words not mine) He was so real, raw, funny and true Texan and I loved the way he talked and his slang sure to make you chuckle.
This church does so much for so many all around the world but at home too. There are so many ministries to get involved in it blew my mind. The best part is they have been specializing saving women and children from sex slavery/trafficking for decades while most chirches ive visited arent even aware
of how big of a deal it is. They often rescue babies that have been thrown in the trash and they raise them with so much love.
I could feel Gods Spirit as soon as I walked through the doors and through the pastor and the word of God that he preached. He is so smart and hilarious and interesting. I have never known any other church that operates like this one. This church is truly annointed. They serve the way the body of Christ is supposed to. No church is perfect and they don't pretend to be.
I came in really lost and lonely but now I have found my new spiritual family it didn't take long to find my place to serve. The food outreach is a blast and we give alot of good stuff to anyone who comes without question. They feed and love on the homeless on Lancaster. They rehabilitate women who have been rescued from slavery. They build schools and dig wells around the world. Miracle healings are common here and there has even been accounts of people being brought back to life!
I could go on and on and on but the best part is that the week before I discovered this church, I literally prayed that God would open a door for me to find a new church and then a few days later a man told me about Open Door Church in Burleson. I went and that co pastor I mentioned earlier had heard about me and my Uber ministry and how I would pray for those that God would put in my car who needed to hear from Him and that I also ministered to homeless on Lancaster. I asked how he knew. He simply said "word gets around". 5 stars Thank You Jesus and thank you ODC!
