I’ve really enjoyed coming to this Puerto Rican bakery. They are mainly known for their pastries 🥰 my personal favorite are the “quesitos con guava” and the bread pudding. Tip: call ahead and ask when they are pulling them out of the oven, it’s next level!!!. Also we love their vegetarian options. They have such a variety and their sandwiches are customizable and delicious. They recently added fresh squeezed OJ to their menu and I’m in heaven.
If you want genuine Puerto Rican pastries, tembleque, bread pudín, flan, bread, etc. look no further. Sandwiches are amazing. Ask for the fresh squeezed orange juice or passion fruit juice.
Sobao bread is very delicious and tasty; the typical desserts and Frituras (empanadillas de carne, pizza , rellenos de papa, alcapurrias ..etc) of my enchanting island Puerto Rico. A unique establishment located in Keene, Texas.
I went in there and asked the girl what she recommends, she said the pastrami. I ordered it. This sandwich was outstanding. I havent had a good Criollo press since the east coast. Highly recommend.
I also tried some baked goods and pastries.
The fresh French bread and Sobao was crispy on the outside and buttery and fluffy on the inside. Highly recommend these as well.
They had tons of pastries. I only tried a couple. The nutella quesitos and the donut pastries were delicious.
We will definitely be back.
I had the Turkey sandwich with everything and it was amazing! My husband had the pastrami with everything as well and he loved it. They also have veggie meat options for vegetarians and vegans. The pastries are a must try. They just melt in your mouth 🤤
