This was a smaller cave but so natural. It's one of the most natural caves I've ever visited. Will be back for the wild cave tour in the summer. Dillon and linray were the best tour guides. Very knowledgeable and humorous! Thanks for a great tour!
Amazing experience to see and feel the atmosphere of these unique caverns. Our tour guide, Ryan, made sure we have fun and at the same time shared a lot of historical and fun facts. The group was small, the whole tour took around a comfortable hour. Great for any age.
If you have never been to a cave, or even if you have—go here! It’s a great cave for someone who has never visited a cave or even a beginner. The tour takes 45-60 minutes. The guide “Stingray” was super knowledgeable. Without him and his knowledge, many of the treasures of this hidden gem would go unnoticed. Wear shoes with good grip in case there is any moisture down below (there probably will be). Use the rails when you can. There is a small part of the tour that requires you to bend down, but it’s maybe for about 15-20 feet. Not bad at all. We saw many different formations, bats, salamanders and other critters. It was so peaceful. We will be going back.
I got a cute shirt from the gift shop. I’d also say grab something from there. It was certainly worth checking out.
Attached are some photos of the old ticket booth, the old gift shop and the old theater before they flooded and of course the caverns. Enjoy!
Had a great guide! This is a very wet growing cave & the formations are not as developed as in some caves but it's still fascinating. There is one place where you have to crouch down to walk under a low ceiling. Call before you go as occasionally they are closed due to flooding.
There are many attractions at this place, great customer service. The gift shop is VERY reasonably priced, and so many different rocks to choose from. The only thing I think they could improve on is the children's mining area. Yes we loved getting to dig and find cool rocks. But they were so tiny, that it really wasn't worth doing in the first place. And by tiny I mean they were TINY. We should have just bought $20 worth of rocks and took them home and let our son dig them up that way, but we wanted the experience.
