(July 8, 2023, 9:31 am)The views and atmosphere are great. Looking out over the Texas Hill country is incredible. There was live music playing which was nice as well.
The service was not bad, it just was not great. The young lady waiting on us was very friendly, but never really took a drink order, and when asked for other things would take way to long and by the time she got back the food was kind of cold.
The food was fresh and good, but was not great. I got a custom pizza that was really good. It wasn’t life changing, but I would drive back for it! The ingredients were fresh, the meat and vegetable toppings were good, the sauce and cheese good, and the crust were nice.
My wife ordered pasta with Alfredo sauce and grilled chicken. The Alfredo tasted like it was nothing but cream and was very bland. The chicken was good but nothing spectacular. The pasta flavor and texture were good but was overshadowed by the blandness of the sauce. My wife asked for parmesan and salt and pepper, and by the time it was arrived the dish was cold. I gave the food four stars because a 3 was too low and rounded up from a 3.5 stars.
There were two huge downsides
.
1. there were flies EVERYWHERE. I was battling several flies throughout dinner and when dinner came, it got even worse.
2. This place is set up for a long lingering dinner, but the seating is horribly uncomfortable. It is so frustrating to me when a place wants you to sit snd enjoy a meal and drink wine, but gives you uncomfortable chairs to sit in. If you want someone to stay for an extended meal…get comfortable seating.
All in all, i enjoyed it. However the wait service, fly situation, and chairs need to be addressed.
(July 1, 2023, 9:32 pm)The views are the best in the Hill Country!!! There was live music and the appetizers were great!!! The flies were really bad and it was hard to eat our meal. My family really enjoyed their pizzas!! I ordered the Fettuccine Alfredo with chicken. The Alfredo sauce had no flavor nor seasoning. That could just be how they make it (I could be spoiled with my homemade Alfredo with extra Parmesan). The pasta noodles were amazing!!! My sister got the Pasta alla vodka and she loved it!! The perfect amount of sundried tomatoes!! My dad got the lasagna and he loved it as well!!!! I want to go back and try a different dish. Overall the experience was amazing!!
(June 23, 2023, 11:45 pm)We were looking for a place to eat in Comfort, and had heard about Comfort Pizza. After calling them, and feeling like i was just a number, we heard about La Calabria. We are so happy we ended up there. The food was amazing, and the views were incredible! Very authentic Neapolitan pizza. Looking forward to our next visit! All of the staff are eager to make your dining experience enjoyable!! The baked caprese was wonderful! We had the bee sting pizza, and it did not disappoint! Thank You Marco for making our time so pleasant!
(June 13, 2023, 12:19 am)This place and the whole drive to/ from it are gorgeous. We had a great time walking around outside, where we attended a catered event under a gazebo. It is perfectly suited to a very nice and memorable anniversary or a engagement dinner. The lasagna, salad, and spinach bacon dip with tortilla chips were quite delicious.

I have eaten there and provided balloon décor for several events and I love the drive out there and the feel of the hill country all around. I recommend reservations to make sure you enjoy the food. I recommend the Bee Sting pizza; so yummy!
