Soul food. Delicious. Feels like an old school dinner and tastes like nastalgia! I'm going to stop here every time I visit slaton. Yummbo!

Very good home cooked style lunch. Very nice staff, and reasonably priced. Will go back again.

My family was very pleased with this little place in Slaton. The food was homemade and the staff was very friendly. It reminds me of the restaurants we had when I was a kid. We had the specials. Meatloaf, mashed potatoes (real), and blackeyed peas for 8.50. You can't beat that deal.

The food was good, but the waitress was exceptional. The cafe soon filled up after we got there and she handled everyone and everything politely and efficiently. While I probably won't go back because the smoke smell really got my allergies going, it shouldn't stop those who don't have that problem from stopping in for a bite.

Love the small town service. Great burger!!
