Flew to Castroville from Del Rio to attend the San Antonio Missions minor league ballgame. Two courtesy cars on site. Great AVGAS price. Comfortable FBO. Management was hospitable and accommodating. I'll be back again in the future.
(March 27, 2023, 10:41 am)Great airport. The runway is in really good shape. Great place to take students to get non-towered experience. Local pilots are friendly on CTAF. The FBO is nice with nice and clean restrooms. The fuel is a good price too.
(October 30, 2022, 12:16 am)Great General Aviation Airport with two RNAV GPS approaches served by San Antonio Approach / Departure Control. Skydiving operations on-site with a dedicated landing zone. Easy to work within their jump schedule. Want to try out Skydiving, give Brian a call at Skydive Castroville and he will hook you up.
FBO is nice with a nice pilot lounge. AVGAS prices are great.
(September 10, 2022, 10:32 am)One of our favorite SA area airports. Great (heated/cooled) bathroom option, fuel, sky diving. Hanger spaces are really nice and the airport community is so friendly and accepting.
(November 27, 2020, 5:59 pm)Great airport and FBO. Good fuel prices for AVGAS and JetA. Crew car is one of the best around. Skydive Castroville is really cool and Bryan is great. Easy access to the Loop and good food.
