(May 14, 2019, 11:49 am)As the wife of a combat veteran with PTSD, an employee of a 501c3 that provides resources to veteran families and an active member of the PTSD wives community...words cannot express how valuable of a resource the Refuge is! I've interacted with many of the counselors and staff in several different capacities and have found them all to be compassionate, professional and committed to the healing and restoration of those who have faced trauma. My work and volunteer opportunities have put me in contact with many people who have learned valuable coping skills and received healing in many areas due to the work of those at the Refuge. My husband and I both are among those who's lives have been positively impacted by this valuable work they are doing. Healing is hard, it takes longer for some to get to a place where they can receive it and move forward. This group of people will walk the journey with you. Their patience and commitment to their calling is commendable and I recommend them wholeheartedly! Thank you for all that you do!
(January 31, 2019, 2:25 pm)I have been a part of the Refuge family for around 3 years and their help has drastically changed my life and how to deal with life in healthy ways. I just read a negative review about this place I can honestly say that it couldn’t be farther from truth about this place. I love every employee at this facility and would highly recommend them to any friend or family member. Thank you Refuge for all that you do.
(January 10, 2019, 10:46 am)After over 5 years of counseling with the Army and other civilian counselors, my 5 months of counseling did more for me than all the treatment combined previously for me. The staff at The Refuge are very professional and truly care about their clients.
(November 1, 2018, 1:38 pm)Several of my family members have been in counseling at Refuge. We experienced positive life changing results and healing, which is directly connected with their Christ centered approach. They cut through the hurt and helped us view our situation through an entirely different perspective which brought us to a better understanding of ourselves and each other. We learned boundaries and true forgiveness, honesty and responsibility. We are reminded God is in control. Through this journey, we are becoming closer as a family - more than I ever believed possible. Everyone we have encountered through the Refuge has been very knowledgeable, caring, kind and compassionate.
