Loved this place! Went here with our dogs and just had an amazing time! It's so beautiful and peaceful and the trails are so fun! Dogs are allowed, please put them on leashes. No bathrooms, it is a legit hike through the wilderness, so be prepared to use nature as your bathroom lol Loved it, can't wait to go back!!

Very nice pine trail. I don't give a full five star rating as the shortest path is five miles and it's just a loop of mostly the same scenery. I enjoy when there are multiple paths on areas this large so you can go long or go short. Otherwise it's great and are plenty of places to just lay and stare up.

A great place for a forest hike. Some of the trail is a little overgrown but most of the trail is very open. I went in August on a 14 mile trek. The trails are well marked but there are a lot of overlapping trails that crisscross each other. It's a good idea to use a mapping app like All Trails. I would go again when it's a bit cooler.

The LSHT is the longest hiking trail in the state. It is broken up into sections. We started at Section 1, which is the easternmost portion, hiking east-west. It had been raining a lot in the preceding weeks. I'd call the ranger office and ask about trail conditions and what the weather's been like if I were you.
