The Summit Apartments

I’ve had nothing but the best treatment since I’ve moved in! Miss Beth is always with a smile and makes you feel welcomed more than someone who is just looking for an apt and Sara always so kind and helpful! The requests on maintenance, they are always fast and done quickly, also so friendly and understanding. The entire staff is just great! If you truly want to experience a great living environment, The Summit is the place to go! Also! The amount of little activities and goody giveaways 👀 those are also things to look forward to!

I have consistently experienced the best residential support services of my life with The Summit Property Management. The staff are friendly and helpful. Anytime I have submitted a maintenance request I have received a prompt response.Whether it was changing light bulbs, replacing/removing furniture, or servicing the plumbing and electricity, maintenance quickly and thoroughly ensured that I have an optimal living environment. I intend to continue renting at The Summit Apartments, and I strongly recommend their properties to all who ask “Where’s the best area to rent an apartment?” In some ways, your property management company can make or break your living experience and with The Summit Apartments it’s all in the service. I couldn’t be happier!

This is the first apartment I have lived at where maintenence is very fast with our request for out apt..Beth and Sara are always helpful & so sweet..I love the staff.. they have always made me feel welcomed and attention to any issues I had.. they get it done as fast as they can.. I love the apartments because everyone is so quite and friendly

This was honestly one of the better apartments we lived at. I loved the floor plan we were in (the Oxford), and we never had issues with our direct neighbors. Maintenance usually completed work orders in a timely manner (although sometimes not immediate but that depended on the severity of the issue). If we were ever unhappy with something, Beth and Sara would do their absolute best to fix our problems. When we first moved in we had to deal with some major issues (the maintenance supervisor at the time was extremely rude and aggressive, but was transferred like two months into our lease). Beth made sure to fix the problem for us right away, and was always on our side. Sara was also extremely helpful, and it was always a pleasure whenever I went to the office and she was there! The new maintenance supervisor, Corny, was a breath of fresh air compared to the one that we had issues with! He cares a lot about the residents and does his best to make everyone happy.

There were a couple of draw backs though. The units are in need of serious upgrading. Our breaker box kept tripping, and needed replacing (I think it was original... from the 80s or older). It got to the point where for about a week or two our entire kitchen was unusable because the breakers couldn't power it. At the time that we left, our dishwasher was also not working properly, and were told it was because of the lack of power the breaker box had. Before we left they were planning to do an extensive replacement of all outdated breaker boxes throughout the complex, so hopefully this won't be an issue much longer. The main reason we moved out was because we were able to move into a house, which we decided to do after months of high electricity bills in the apartment. So I think our light bill was effected by the weak breakers, but also was due to the poor insulation our unit had. Make sure to get blackout curtains because they will definitely help but only by a bit. Also, if you live in the back of the complex you will not be able to find parking after like 8 PM. I just don't think the back of the complex has the right amount of parking spaces to accommodate the amount of units/people that are back there. There's not really anything they can do to fix this issue, so this is just a warning to anyone moving in.

I am hoping within the next few years or so they'll continue to improve the complex so others can enjoy what The Summit has to offer. I honestly regret not being able to stay longer as I really did enjoy living here. If it wasn't for the electrical issues we experienced I would have definitely rated it 5 stars, despite the shaky start we had. Thank you to Sara, Beth, and Corny for making sure we felt taken care of and at home! To GWR management directly - please keep your word on upgrading the units and do not put this property on the back burner. It has a lot of potential and can be one of the best places to live in Corpus Christi once the electrical issues are fixed!
