Amazing dept. that holds disgusting people accountable
I dont leave reviews for anything, but i just got off the phone with an officer and she was extremely helpful and sweet even though they were very busy, and i was only asking about their K9 program. I just want to thank you for all the work your doing for us every day. (Alexis Whitley)
I got pulled over for speeding last Saturday. I'm always careful to follow the speed limit because I don't want to break the law. Officer Ramirez stopped me in the morning and it was a friendly encounter. Welcome to Weatherford, TX, a community with a sense of pride! When I told my husband, he was shocked because I never speed. So, I was upset with myself from the start of my interaction with Officer Ramirez, not because of her, but because of my mistake. She asked me where I was going, and I told her I was on my way to the airport. She took my information, and I felt embarrassed and disorganized. However, her interaction made me feel better. She smiled and was polite. I wanted to ask her more questions, but I didn't want to make my brother late for the airport. After our interaction, I cleaned out my car and made it a priority to do the important things. Overall, it was a great interaction. My brother is the calmest person on the planet, and he is big on communication. He also said it was a good encounter. I felt like I had let down my favorite school teacher, but someone who you would never want to upset.
I travel quite a bit from the left coast, back-and-forth to my home here in Texas, and I have to give props and kudos to the Weatherford police for not letting panhandlers and beggars stand on the corners, begging for money, and whatever else. This is completely rampant and out of control over on the west coast, and it has brought in nothing but trouble and homeless camps who then live off of panhandling. Great job for keeping this under control.
This photo is one of Weatherford’s finest directing these panhandlers to leave. Which they immediately got in their van and left.
