The C. F. Goodwin Public Library

I love this library. I’m visiting friends from Minnesota and needed a quiet place to work for a bit. I was warmly greeted. As I wandered around scoping out the seating options, the same staff member approached to let me know that the computers are down. (They posted a sign on the door so if that had been my purpose today, I would have been tipped off immediately.) I let her know I just needed a quiet corner to work for a bit and she showed me to the “cubby room” — a small room with a couple of study carrels, a chess board on a small table, and comfy chairs fit the bill perfectly. The cubby room doesn’t have natural light but the main room has lovely high windows.

Nice selection of books. Staff VERY friendly and knowledgeable. Made me feel very comfortable since I just moved to the area.

Nice place it's clean everybody their looks out for you and will help you had a moment's notice...

All my favorite authors with nothing older than 5 years - so newer choices. A good variety of DVDs as well.
