“One has to be looking for Waverly Presbyterian Church, as it is definitely off the beaten path, but it certainly is a beautiful church. Nestled in the east Texas forest, the front of the church is half covered by a huge oak tree. The structure is planked by dazzling white clapboard and topped by a tall steeple. The location is peaceful and perfect for this lovely sanctuary. The sign out front says the church was established in 1860 and the Facebook site is full of proud members.”
