Hello, if you’re like me you want your kids to get the BEST education possible, and for them to grow. Well look no further. My daughter has been going to TLCA since Kindergarten she is in the 2nd grade now (Mrs.Taylor) class. In which I have to tell you she is an AMAZING,LOVING,CARING teacher. She loves her students as if they were her own I swear I love her teacher. I love the Entire staff they go over and beyond for our kids. They inform us of upcoming events. Those Sunday evening calls each week I LOVE THEM. They keep you involved in what’s going on in the school for each week. The principle Mrs. Morrison my daughter and myself LOVE this woman dearly. She so easy to talk to she handles things so professionally. I couldn’t ask for a better school to send my child. I have no worries when I drop my child off each morning because, she is in Great hands. She went from being a shy quite child to an outspoken and isn’t scared to interact with students. I couldn’t do it alone so TLCA helped me with this. They believe in being Leaders and doing what’s right. Treat each other with kindness. With so much bullying going on in the world TLCA is teaching kids to love each other and be respectful towards each other. So if you need a school to send your child I recommend you send them here.

Our son Dresden has been attending TLCA for 6 months now (kindergartener in Ms. Nealy’s class). If you are doing tons of research like I was when making this decision - here are all my thoughts!

    PROS
His teacher! Ms. Nealy is kind, has great control of the classroom, and very dedicated to the students’ learning. Our son can read impressively well now (starting kindergarten he could read less than 10 words).

Our son loves PE (Coach A) and music (Ms. Fitzgerald) and I’ve only had great, professional interactions with the staff and faculty.

Class size is great! He is in a class of 12 students to one teacher and it seems like a great number for each of them to get individualized instruction based on needs.

Almost every night before bed our son lists “school” as his favorite part of the day. That combined with the impressive amount of learning that has happened in the last 6 months and teachers who genuinely care and take pride in their job are compelling enough for us! That being said, here are some of the cons in case anything below is a deal breaker for you.

    CONS
It is a small school, kindergarten seems to have the most students and the number of students in each grade declines as they go up in age. As much as we love it for his early years - we will probably move him to a bigger school for middle school/high school.

Lunches are pre-made and portioned meals that are heated up, not made in school. I’ve noticed it while visiting for lunch, it’s not a deal breaker for us because we send his lunch.

Older building/facilities that weren’t originally intended as a school. Honestly, it’s a bit underwhelming facility but I feel like the administration, teachers and learning that happens more than makes up for it!

This is hands down the best school around. The staff truly cares about your kids and about the school. They really tailor the curriculum to meet the needs of all of the students, and go above and beyond to do what’s best for the kids and the school. I would recommend this school to anyone who wants their child to get an education and not just get grades.
