My oldest child has attended Viridian since the first year it was open. My youngest will begin her third year there. We have had positive experiences with the faculty and administrative staff. My daughters have had teachers who have gone above and beyond to help them academically. Any time I've had a question or concern, the administrative staff has been very workable and helpful. I realize everyone has different experiences and perceptions with any school. As far as my family's experience, we couldn't be happier.
MY SON LOVES THIS SCHOOL! We moved here from a nice area of San Antonio within a top school district so I was afraid I wouldn't find a decent school here in DFW. We first lived in Grand Prairie and the school was okay but my son hated it and got bullied. Then we moved to HEB district and my son is thriving at Viridian! My husband and I have gone to eat lunch with him many times and I have to say the kids are pretty great. His 2nd grade teacher Ms. Shaw is very nice and loves my son in her class. I don't know what issues other parents have had, but I can tell you NO SCHOOL is perfect. If anything, the only issues I've had at Viridian are other parents who are rude & inconsiderate of others when dropping/picking up their kids. Very inappropriate.
My son began attending Viridian in Kindergarten last year. We had an absolutely wonderful experience with the school, his teacher, Mrs. Howard, and the PTA. I am disappointed to see that others did not experience this same level of satisfaction, but I will say that being involved in my child's education and volunteering with the PTA helped me feel connected and engaged with the teachers and other parents in our community. My kiddo comes home every day ready to tell us about something he has learned and a classmate he has gotten to know, and that is testament to the positive experiences he is having on an individual level. Viridian provides a consistent, positive environment where my child is encouraged to learn and think, and I could not be more pleased with the level of communication and care that we get from our school and staff.
My daughter is in 2nd grade this year and went to 1st grade last year at Viridian. We love this school. The teachers are encouraging and motivated my daughter to rise to higher level. Her 1st grade teacher was amazing. The staff is always friend and caring. My daughter also takes violin at this school and the Suzuki teacher is great. I am proud of my school.
