Lone Star Yarn

Lone Star Yarn is one of my favorite places ever. It has the best selection of yarn for miles around. The owner is personable and approachable, and she is almost single-handedly responsible for me developing a new passion for crocheting.

I've been knitting a long time, but rarely do I feel as welcome in a yarn shop as I do in Lone Star Yarn. Kris is generous with her time and expertise.

A great variety of yarn for a good price! Kris was so kind and welcoming when I came to visit. We got to talking about knitting and crocheting, and she even gave me a goodie bag when she found out it was my birthday! I had an awesome time visiting and I can’t wait to come again!

Kris is helpful and informative. She host events and classes.
Great selection of many yarn types and materials.
Natural and synthetic yarns displayed in dedicated areas in the store.
Kris has premade kits with instructions and yarn (yarn colors can be swapped).
Crocheted clothing are available for sale too by local artists.

I hadn't crocheted for awhile but I needed something to destress and I'm glad I found Kris's store. Kris is friendly and provided websites for projects and upcoming events in the surrounding areas.

Great yarn shop! Owner is awesome and very helpful! Beautiful yarns from lots of indie dyers! This is a shop you don't want to miss.

Update: still one of the best shops I've ever been in. Great environment and atmosphere.
