First let me say that I frequent Walgreens for many years now, and have had positive experiences time and time again. Your staff is wonderful and they have always delivered excellent customer service, 99% of the time. More recently, however, I've had three "unusual" interactions with managers at your Euless, TX store twice, and once at your store in Oklahoma, City near Choctaw Casino.
Those experiences were very troubling to me, and I did express to those managers that they showed very little concern over some price questions I had for them. The woman in your Oklahoma store was down right rude, but ultimately adjusted the price of the item for me. A customer behind me verbally stated how disappointed she was by that manager's behavior, and unfortunately the situation was that apparent to onlookers.
The manager in Euless recently provided some saving grace after I reminded him of his previous lack of great customer service, and this time (last week) he reluctantly went into your product storage room to get the item I was requesting, but only after I had to insist that he check to see if it was in stock using your stock checker. He has been with that store for several months, so I assume he is doing a good job for you, but he lacks enthusiasm for what he is doing. That may be my opinion only.
Here is some excellent news though: Yesterday I had a truly amazing experience at the store in Euless. A young man, I believe is also a new manager, provided the most incredible customer service that I have had in a very long time in a retail store anywhere. He smiled with eye contact, he was enthusiastic, and was also very knowledgeable with questions and processes that I needed help with. He did everything with a genuine effort to make sure that I was a satisfied customer. Not only was I satisfied, I was VERY SATISFIED. His name is William, and I let him know how delighted I was with his customer service, which is so rare these days. He was so humble about accepting the compliment, but just know that he is definitely a positive reflection of the Walgreen's store brand. I hope you will let him know what an impact he is making. He is the kind of extra-miler everyone would like to experience. I know you have tons of empoyees, but I really wanted you to know about him and the great job he is doing!
