My husband and I love camping at Loyd Park. We tent camp and can find shady campsites and a lot of them are secluded. That's important for us. We usually stay for about 7 days. We have a lot of camping gear so it takes us awhile to set up and take down. They have upgraded some bathrooms and they're really nice. Separate rooms not just stalls. The staff is very friendly and helpful. They have a store where you can buy things that you might have forgot and you can rent kayaks. You can bring your own firewood or buy theirs. The sites have a covered picnic table and firepit and usually a grill. Come stay here for camping or a day trip. You won't be disappointed.
Clean park what I saw.
The boat ramp has 4 lanes and 1 dock way off to the side.
If you're a solo flyer, be ready to shuffle and wait.
Paired up fishermen or fisherwomen will make it short work.
People were nice and friendly worth giving a shot for a Visit to the Lake.
Whether you're using the land based amenities, or out in a boat or yak out on the Lake.
Nice area for sure
This was space #61. First time staying on this side of the park. We enjoyed our stay as always. There’s lots of room for dogs to run around and spaces are far enough from your neighbors not to hear each other’s conversations.
I'm so in Love with this Park...
I bought a City Park Sticker and have visited Loyd Park so many times this year. It's very well thought out as far as the locations for RVers, Camper's, Hiking Trails, Boat ramps and Cabins. I'll be renting a Cabin in the Spring and enjoying looking out at Joe Pool Lake which is a stone throw away. Everything is situated to enjoy amazing views...I'll be back in 2020
We stayed on loop G in spot 220. Very nice park and spot was good as well. Not far from water. There are other spots near the water. Would recommend this park to camp out. We have a 30ft TT.

We chose Loyd Park on Joe Pool lake mainly for the convenience and due to Covid not many parks open. While this is a nice park and great staff, our particular site was covered with small ant hills and several poison ivy plants very close by. We brought our dog so we just had to pay close attention to...
