Daan Sushi Asian Bistro & Bar

My family used to love to eat here, especially my sister and I. We used love to order the creamy monster and a variety of sushi rolls. Never had a problem with the food it was always excellent. We stopped going because service was terrible. Wait staff was not attentive to table for refills for drinks and other needs. The wait staff complained that we drank to much and needed to many refills. Just had horrible experience, so we stopped going. It's ashame though because we really did enjoy the food.

Everything we ordered was excellent and we ordered a lot!!!! 10 sushi rolls for the table plus entrees and it came out very quickly! Our server was friendly and quick. The restaurant was very busy and only had two servers working, kudos to them for all the hard work they did! I recommend going early as the later it got the more people came flooding in.

This place is excellent for a few different reasons, and I highly recommend it! 1) The food was excellent. I lived in Japan for a few years and I'm always trying to find Japanese food that's equivalent to what I had there - this is the closest I have come to it. It was SO good!! 2) I have a gluten allergy and the owner was very knowledgeable about it. They had gluten free soy sauce & knew how to handle my food and prepare it separately. 3) We were there for a basketball tournament, and we were a large group. The owner waited on us and we had excellent service. All other restaurants were full, so we happened upon this place, and were SO pleasantly surprised with out choice. I highly recommend and will be back when I'm visiting the Grapevine area.

Daan Sushi is a great place for fresh cut sushi and some drinks (if you're old enough to drink alcohol). They had very great customer service and presentation of food! They were not too busy and we went on Friday night. The only downside of the restaurant was that the men's bathroom didn't have running water and it made me feel a little uncomfortable. However, the food and service was outstanding and I would consider returning!
