This is one of nicest small churches I have been to! The people are amazing and so is the minister!!
The best recitles are done here
Since I see that no one has reviewed this church, I thought I would, because this is a great church. I haven't been going long, and even miss a lot of church, but they don't mind.
It's a very friendly group of nice people. Great choir for the size of the church, they are amazing! Small-town church environment in a big city, or just outside the big city. Close to Fort Worth, and Richland hills, just a little east of Rufe Snow. Has a Nursery, and Sunday School, and a community garden. It also is nestled on a large beautiful piece of land that has forest land and a walking path around the church. The church also has wonderful shaded playground equipment. They welcome and appreciate children at Westwind. If you have a specific prayer request, it goes right on the program as well as the choir prays and sings a song for a list of people as a solemn prayer for assistance from our Lord.
The church's focus seems to be kindness, giving, percevierance, and lessons to all and loving all members as well as understanding the bible from Jesus's perspective. It doesn't seem to be all about the money, like many big churches focus. Most big church activities provides catered food. This church also gives back to the community and provides many meals for the less fortunate. Their parties are fun, get the community involved, and very family focused, and everyone just about, pitches in.
The minister is current and fun, able to relate to all age groups with kindness, gentle heartedness, and an educational instruction with fun and ease. There is a child worship time at each service and the end of the month is a family focused service with fun activities so all can relate to the sermon and lesson. At one end of the month family sermon, parents and children led each other around the chapel, teaching about different perspectives so the kids could understand parts of the sermon. This gets the kids involved and teaches them what it's like to go to church, and how much fun we have so they are not just kept in the nursery the whole time. Beautiful community church, where the chapel is changed into a great room for an almost small town feel. Even the minister who started the church still attends the church there. I hope I helped people understand what a great church this is. It's off the beaten path, but it may just be the nonjudgmental church you were looking for.
