Pleasantly surprised all around, specifically with Darshan! I was referred to physical therapy by my orthopedic doctor based on a patella femoral syndrome (PFS) overuse injury as a result of my cycling workout rhythm. My orthopedic doc told me the root cause was tight calves and to stretch twice a day and the issue would go away however he recommended physical therapy as a means to evaluate form, posture, muscle strength, etc. I followed his instructions and within a few weeks, by the time of my appointment with Darshan, the pain was mostly gone. I was hesitant to still go to physical therapy however I decided to go with it. As I said, in starting this feedback writeup, I was (an still am) pleasantly surprised. Darshan's initial evaluation included a hands-on checkout of my patella and knee as well as a visual strength and stretch overlook. He identified a few key workouts and exercises, increasing in difficulty over each PT session, which focused on my misaligned patella as well as weaknesses in muscle groups which remove strain from the knee personalized to my specific needs. What’s more, with Darshan I received specific instructions for each exercise as well as the reason for it, how to execute the exercise properly, and why it was important to my specific application. Again, I'm very impressed, feeling great in my riding strength and knee health, and very thankful for Darshan's above and beyond efforts. My last PT appointment was the last of the series required; Darshan gave me the tools for success over the course of 5 appointments and sent me on my way to a better and much more educated cycling lifestyle. Chuck is not only thorough but the best physical therapist I have ever worked with. I developed degenerative disc disease in my neck & suffer from osteo arthritis & bone spurs. I followed all the exercises that Chuck told me to do. I feel much better now & I owe it all to Chuck & his expertise. I can only say thank you & will continue to recommend Green Oaks Physical Therapy to anyone who is hurting.
